A bike you might find at a yard sale or a second-hand store is just that… a used bicycle.
A “Once Ridden Bike” is:
- Cleaned and inspected for worn components or parts.
- Wheels are removed and trued (straightened).
- Wheel bearings are inspected, adjusted, replaced, or re-packed with grease if needed.
- Brake cables and cable housings are inspected, lubed, and replaced if needed.
- Shifter cables and cable housings are inspected, lubed, and replaced if needed.
- Derailleurs are inspected, adjusted, lubed, and replaced if necessary.
- Bottom bracket bearings inspected, adjusted, lubed, and re-packed or replaced if needed.
- Headset bearings inspected, adjusted, lubed, and replaced if needed.
- Brake pads inspected, adjusted, and replaced if needed.
- Seat post removed, cleaned, lubed, and reinstalled.
- Hand grips are replaced if needed. Road bikes get new handlebar tape if needed.
- Brakes and derailleurs are adjusted for positive shifting and stopping.
- Most bikes get new tires and new inner tubes.
It’s because of this process that you can rest assured that a “Once Ridden Bike” is in top working condition. And because of this we stand behind the bike 100%. We will adjust the bike to fit your needs, and if something isn’t right… We’ll make it right.
